I'm a bit confused and disturbed by the title of Prof. Balashov's contribution. . .

The title of Yuri Balashov's contribution is simply "Persistence", not what is listed in the post--so no worries. In fact, probably none of the titles listed in this post are correct. They are figments of my imagination that I dreamt up quickly to give other contributors an idea of what the book will look like. My bad. I didn't know this list would be posted. I can also add that James Higginbotham will write on ""The Linguistic Representation of Times and Events?" (this is the correct title) and Shaun Gallagher on time and representation or time and the specious present.
